Board of Investment One-Stop
Action Center
The Board of Investment's (BOI)
frontline unit, the One-Stop Action Center (OSAC) assists investors do
business in the Philippines under one roof. It houses representatives from
different government agencies who answer investors' inquiries and the
process of investors' business registration.
These representatives come from the Bureau of Immigration (BI), Bangko
Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) or the Central Bank of the Philippines,
Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC), and the Philippine Industrial Estate Association (PHILEA).
OSAC offers the following service:
- Conducts business
counseling
- Monitors the status
of investors' registration applications
- Informs investors of
the action taken on their application within the shortest possible
time
Business counseling covers the
following:
- Licenses to
multinational companies operating Regional Headquarters in the
Philippines
- Alien Employment
Permits
- Endorsement of
conversion of tourist visas to special non-immigrant visas, working
visas and Special Investment Resident Visa (SIRV)
- Employment of foreign
nationals in BOI-registered firms
- Travel tax exemptions
for personnel of BOI-registered regional headquarters of multinational
companies
- Tax and duty-free
importation of household goods, personal effects, training and
conference materials
- Seminars,
consultations and counseling on investment-related subjects

Export Assistance Network
The Bureau of Export and Trade
Promotion's (BETP) Export Assistance Network (EXPONET) helps exporters and
prospective exporters access information and resolve specific problems
related to exporting.
Its network consists of over 128 agencies within and outside DTI,
including the Bureau of Customs (BoC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)
or the Central Bank of the Philippines, and other export-related agencies
including those represented at the One-Stop Export Documentation Center.
Advisers are stationed in all DTI regional and provincial offices.
EXPONET provides information on:
- Export seminar
schedules
- Export organizing
- Export procedures and
documentation
- Import facilities for
exporters
- Buyer linkages
- Export financing and
incentives
- Product raw material
sourcing
- Statistical
information
The agency also assists
exporters in export-related problems / trade complaints.
